08/11/10 | REACH Update October 2010.
REACH is the European Union regulation regarding Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals.
We have now produced and submitted 3 dossiers to ECHA (European Chemical Agency) for evauluation. These are for calcium oxide, calcium hydroxide and natural hydraulic lime. We anticipate full registration of these chemical before the year end.
We expect to register our products for all general uses known to us and have sufficient information to do this. However, if you believe your use may be in a specialist area, please let us know the application so we can ensure it is registered.
None of these are substances of high concern within the meaning of REACH.
30/07/10 | REACH regulations.
The REACH regulations sets a number of new requirements with respect to the use of chemical substances. Many of our distributors and customers have kindly provided information on their uses of lime substances which have asked the REACH Lime Consortium to incorporate in their information database. Using standardised processes and tools, 9 Generic Exposure Scenarios have been developed which are intended to cover all the known uses of lime substances communicated to the REACH Lime Consortium. If your use is adequately covered, no further action is required. Downstream users who have additional specific information are requested to contact us as soon as possible. The full statement and list of Exposure Scenarios is available as a .pdf download from the Information section of this website.
